SPECIAL ALERT: HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF EFFORT
The French Market Corporation (FMC) is seeking a qualified
architectural design consultant or team of consultants to oversee the
assessment of damages and related repairs to the French Market Buildings from
Hurricane Katrina. The firm's) will be required to develop the necessary
specifications, bidding documents, and construction administration for all
hurricane related roof repairs. This proposal is for a non-exclusive
partnership, and the FMC will retain the right to contract with other firms for
similar services. Detailed specifications of the Request for Proposals can be picked
up beginning Friday, December 23, 2005 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00
p.m., excluding weekends at the French Market Corporation office at 1008 N.
Peters Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70116 or can be faxed upon request.
Proposals will be accepted until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2005.
Proposals should be sent to Richard McCall, Executive Director, French Market
Corporation at 1008 North Peters Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70116 or faxed
to (504) 596-3419. Please call to confirm receipt of fax. All proposals must be
received by the French Market on or before the deadline. The FMC will not

Notice is hereby given that the City of Mobile will receive sealed bids in the
office of the City Clerk, Government Plaza, 205 Government Street, South Tower,
9th Floor, Room 908, Mobile, AL, until 2:15 p.m., CST Wednesday, January 11,
2006, for the above stated project. The same will be publicly opened and read
at 2:30 p.m. CST in the AE Conference Room, Room 558 in Government Plaza, South
Tower, 5th Floor. All Bids received after the specified time will be automatically
rejected and returned immediately, unopened. No bid may be withdrawn for a
period of 60 days after the scheduled opening time. The City of Mobile reserves
the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in this
bidding. Bids must be submitted on bid forms provided in the Project Manual or
copies thereof. A pre-bid conference will be held on January 4, 2006, at 11:00
a.m., CST, at the site, 540 Texas Street, Mobile, AL. Each bid must be
accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank payable
to the City of Mobile in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid, but in no
event more than $10,000. The successful qualified bidder will have to provide a
Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and a Certificate of Insurance.Specifications
