SPECIAL ALERT: HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF EFFORT

 

Notice is hereby given that the Regional Planning Commission is requesting qualification statements from firms interested in submitting a proposal for the following project. Hurricane Katrina's Effects on Aviation Development In Southern Louisiana (RPC Project No. FAA-PK-01) An outline of the desired scope of work is available from RPC upon request and at its web site www.norpc.org. Contract services are expected to commence approximately 4 weeks from the date of this notice and will be completed within 12 months following the award of the contract. This will be a negotiated contract. All interested firms are invited to submit their qualifications for undertaking the above study. Following the selection of the consultant(s) by the Commission, the RPC Executive Director will enter into negotiations with the prime consultant to finalize the scope of work and contract fee. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) shall review the final work scope and fee prior to contract execution by the RPC. Interested firms shall furnish sufficient technical and supervisory personnel to insure expeditious completion of the work. Firms with demonstrated planning and aviation planning experience, competence, and qualifications pertinent to the above project are being sought. Socially and economically disadvantaged firms are invited to submit qualifications for undertaking the above mentioned work. You are also advised that an 18% minority participation (MBE/DBE) goal has been adopted by the Regional Planning Commission. Qualification statements are to be submitted on Standard Form DOTD 24-102, "Professional Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project." Three copies are to be submitted. Experience, both firm and individual; past performance on Commission projects; current work load; location where work will be performed and firm size will be the significant evaluation factors which will be used in selecting a firm for the above study. Failure to submit all of the information required on Standard Form DOTD 24-102 will constitute a non-response. P.B.#506, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70615 for 2006 Emergency Roof and Siding Repairs to Vincent Settlement Elementary School, Hurricane Rita Repair Funds, Bid #2006-11PC. Complete plans and specifications may be obtained from Ellender Architects and Associates, LLC, 1521 Cypress Street, Sulphur, Louisiana 70663. No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless the bid is accompanied by bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. The bid security shall be in the form of certified check or cashier's check drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC, or Calcasieu Parish School Board Bid Bond Form contained in the Front End Documents written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana with an A.M. Planning & Construction Department, Chennault Facilities. 3800 Mallard Cove Drive. P.B.#506, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70615 for Roof Repairs at Special Ed - Mossville, Hurricane Rita Repair Funds, Bid #2006-10PC. Complete plans and specifications may be obtained from Randall D. Broussard, Architect, 206 South Huntington Street, Sulphur, Louisiana 70663. No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless the bid is accompanied by bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. The bid security shall be in the form of certified check or cashier's check drawn on a bank insured by the FDIC, or Calcasieu Parish School Board Bid Bond Form contained in the Front End Documents written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana with an A.M. Best rating of "A" or better, countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond insurer as a licensed agent in this state and who is residing in this state. Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2163, Act 635, effective January 1, 1989, for the classification Roofing and Building Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. Evidence of authority to submit the bid shall be required in accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1) (c) and/or R.S. 39:1594 (C) (2) (d). Each bid must be placed in an envelope, sealed and marked on the outside, "Roof Repairs @ Special Ed - Mossville, Hurricane Rita Repair Funds, Bid No. #2006-10PC, to be opened at 2:00 P.M., February 9, 2006, at the Calcasieu Parish School Board, Planning & Construction Department, Chennault Facilities, P.B. #506, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70615. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1) (b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement for bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity. A deposit may be required on the bid documents; however, the deposit shall not exceed twice the actual cost of reproduction. Deposits on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents no later than ten days after receipt of bids. On other sets of documents furnished to bidders the deposit less actual cost of reproduction, will be refunded upon return of the documents no later than ten days after receipt of bids.
