SPECIAL ALERT: HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT
Hendry County is soliciting proposals and/or letter for
professional consulting services to provide administration and inspection
services for the County’s Hurricane Housing Recovery Program (HHRP). Selected
firm will assist County staff with applicant intake phase, applicant and income
eligibility phase, title search requests, preparation of mortgage documents,
report preparation, reimbursement requests, environmental concerns, overall
project oversight, monitoring or project, etc. Inspection services shall
include: initial housing inspection, preparation of housing rehabilitation work
write-ups, preparation of cost estimate, preparation of bid advertisement,
conducting con- tractor’s walk-thru meeting, attendance at bid opening and
preparation of bid tabulation, and inspections during the construction/ rehab
phase. Proposals will be evaluated upon a total of 100 points as follows: (1)
Experience Administering Housing Programs 25 points; (2)
Availability/Management of Staff Involved with this Project 10 points; (3)
Ability to Commence Services and Complete Services with Time Perimeters 15
points; (4) Past References with Local Governments 25 points; (5) Familiarity
with State and Federal Housing Programs 10 points; (6) Fee 10; and (6)
Minority/Woman Owned Business Enterprise 5 points. The County proposes to award
a contract for these services to the provider(s) whose proposal(s) are deemed
most advantageous to the County subject to negotiation of fair and reasonable
compensation consistent with industry standards. The County reserves the right
to reject any or all proposals. The County accepts no responsibility for
expense of preparing or delivering proposals to the County. Proposals not
reaching the County by the deadline will not be opened and will not be eligible
for evaluation. In compliance with section 287.017, Florida Statutes, for
Public Entity Crimes, no person or affiliate on the convicted vendor list may,
for a period of 36 months after being place on the convicted vendor list: (1)
submit a bid on a contract or request for proposals; (2) be awarded or perform
work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor or consultant. Hendry County
shall not accept any bid from, award any contracts to, or transact any business
with any person or affiliate in excess of the threshold for Category II
(presently $15,000) in section 287.017, Florida Statutes, for a period of 36
months from the date of the person or affiliate was placed on the convicted
vendors list. Hendry County will accept, review and evaluate proposals and may
require verbal presentations prior to final selection. Questions and inquiries

SPECIAL ALERT: HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT
Sealed Bid Proposals will be received in triplicate by Lower Mount
Bethel Township for the Little Creek Road Hurricane Damage Restoration project
located in Lower Mount Bethel Townships, Northampton County. The project
consists of installation of approximately 256 feet of soldier pile and pre-cast
lagging wall with tieback, 445 cubic yards of gabion toe of bank protection
wall, 199 ton of rock buttress, 2000 SF of road reconstruction and repaving,
and 400 feet of guide rail resetting. In addition, alternate bid items will be
considered and construction techniques for the restoration of this area will be
considered. There will be a pre-bid conference, 10:00 A.M., Monday, February
20, 2006, at the Township office. The specific requirements for bidding are described
in the Bidding Documents available to all Bidders. All Bids must be submitted
on official forms furnished by the Engineer; unofficial copies NOT accepted.
The Bidding Documents, with Plans and Official Bid Forms are available at
Hanover Engineering Associates, Inc., 252 Brodhead Road, Suite 100, Bethlehem,
PA 18017, 610-691-5644, during regular business hours. Contract Bid Documents
available for $50.00; checks made payable to Lower Mount Bethel Township.
Shipping available for an additional charge-call the Engineer. All fees are
non- refundable. Bid Proposals should be forwarded to Lower Mount Bethel
Township, 2004 Hutchison Avenue, P.O. Box 257, Martins Creek, PA 18063, prior
to 10:00 A.M. local time, Friday, March 3, 2006. Bid proposals will be opened
at that time, and publicly read aloud by a representative of the Township. A
ten percent (10%) Bid Deposit is required to be enclosed with the Bid Proposal
in accordance with the Bidding Documents. The Contractors and all
subcontractors shall be required to pay wages in accordance with the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage
Rates. Lower Mount Bethel Township reserves the right to reject any and all
bids for any reasons, and to waive any informality in any Bid Proposal. Award
of a Contract may be contingent upon availability of funds. The successful
Bidder shall furnish to the Township the Bonds and Insurance Certificates
required by the Contract Documents, guaranteeing the performance of the
Contract. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid Proposal within sixty (60) days after
the date of the Bid Opening.

77630 Sealed proposals addressed to the Port of Orange will be received and
then opened and read for the furnishing of materials, equipment and labor for
the Hurricane Rita Roof Repairs, in accordance with drawings and specifications
prepared by Architectural Alliance Inc. Bidding and Contract documents may be
obtained from the Architect upon deposit of $25.00 for each set of documents.
Deposit will be refunded upon the return of documents in good condition within
ten (10) days after receipt of the bids. Bid Security in an amount not less
than five percent (5%) of the bid is required. Performance and Payment Bonds in
the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount will be
required if the amount of contract is in the total amount of $25,000 or
greater. No performance or payment bond is required for contracts of less than
$25,000. No bid will be considered unless the Performance Bond and the Payment
Bond, acceptable to Owner, has been obtained by and written to provide for
completion of work by the bidding entity. That is, the bidder must be the same
entity that applies for and obtains the required performance and payment bonds.
Port of Orange Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all
bids and does not bind itself to accept the lowest bid or any proposal for this
work or any part thereof, and shall have the right to ask for new bids for the
whole or parts.

AMENDED DUE DATE: Bid K-20-06 - Chain Link Fence Repair/
Replacement at the Air Park and Municipal Golf Course. Bids were scheduled to
open until 2:00 P.M. (local) on February 8, 2006, in the Purchasing Division,
1190 N.E. 3rd Avenue, Bldg. C, (front), Pompano Beach, FL 33060. The bid had
been rescheduled to open on February 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. A new mandatory
pre-bid conference will be held on February 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the
Purchasing Division. Those bidders attending the first mandatory pre-bid
conference held on January 26, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. are not required to attend the
second pre-bid conference. Failure to attend at least one Mandatory pre-bid
conference will result in bid rejection. The project consists of furnishing all
labor, equipment, tools, and materials for the repair and replacement of chain
link fence damaged by Hurricane Wilma around the air Park and Golf Course of
Pompano Beach, Florida. Work will include but not be limited to repair various
marked sections, and replacement of damaged sections of various sizes

The City of Parkland, Florida is currently requesting proposals
from qualified companies to provide: CITY OF PARKLAND TREE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM

rights of way and on public lands to replace trees that were lost during Hurricane
