SPECIAL ALERT: HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF EFFORT

IFB #SD1007-Demolition of Concrete Slabs The Biloxi Housing Authority invites sealed bids from licensed contractors for the "Demolition of Concrete Slabs at Beauvoir Beach" located in Biloxi, Mississippi. The work will consist of demolishing and removal of 13 concrete slabs left after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the apartment units and other work as shown or specified. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Biloxi Housing Authority, 330 Benachi Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39530 until 2:00 p.m. local time on November 13, 2007 where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A Pre-bid site visit will be held at the project site, 2180 Beauvoir Beach, on November 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form provided. A Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid Price must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors is required to be held prior to submitting a bid and shall appear on the exterior of the bid package or the bid will be returned unopened. Upon award of the contract the successful bidder shall execute separate "Performance" and "Payment" Bonds using the forms in the IFB package, each in the amount of 100% of the total bid price.
