Delayed DESCRIPTION: The Georgetown County, South Carolina Emergency
Preparedness Department is soliciting sealed bids for a contractor to provide
and install roll-up type hurricane shutters on five (5) buildings which house
fire and rescue operations. The successful offeror must retrofit these stations
with permanent roll down shutters on all exterior windows and doors including
the apparatus bay doors. The shutters and installation must meet or exceed the
2003 International Building Code (IBC) for structural designed wind loads under
Section 1609.1.4, the protection of openings. The large apparatus bay doors
shutters shall be electric, due to size and weight.Requirements and
specifications are contained in the on-line bid documents available below. Due
