SPECIAL ALERT: HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF EFFORT
The Military Department, State of Louisiana
hereby calls for Sealed Bid Proposals for Stabilization of the 1917 Cadillac, Jackson Barracks Military Museum, Camp Beauregard, Pineville,
LA until 2:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. A scope of work has been developed by FEMA for
stabilization of the 1917 Cadillac, which was under 13 feet of Hurricane
Katrina flood waters at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans,
LA for three weeks.
A non-mandatory pre-bid viewing of the stabilization and scope of work
documents can be arranged by contacting the Museum Curator, Mrs. Sherrie Pugh,
318-290-5201, 318-641-3274 or at 718 E Street (Building 718), Camp Beauregard, Pineville,
LA 71360 to set
up a viewing date. Prospective bidders are encouraged to obtain and review the
documents so that they can make proposals based on what FEMA has approved.
Sealed bid proposals will be received by the Louisiana Military Department,
delivered by mail or by hand to Mrs. Sherrie Pugh, 718 E Street, Camp
Beauregard, Pineville, LA 71360-3737 not later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
August 12, 2008, at which time they will be opened by the State Contracting Officer
at Building 718, Camp Beauregard The successful Bidder will be required to
furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the
Contract amount. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after
receipt of Bids. The Louisiana Military Department reserves the right to reject

ADVERTISEMENT FORBIDS AND GENERAL CONTRACTOR/ SUBCONTRACTOR
PRE-QUALIFICATION Sealed proposals will be received by Enterprise City Board of
Education at the office of Enterprise City Board of Education in Board Room,
220 Hutchinson Street, Enterprise, Alabama 36330until 2:00p.m. Central Time,
September 30, 2008 for Project B: Buildings & Athletic Facilities
Replacement of Tornado Damaged Enterprise High School for Enterprise City Board
of Education Enterprise, Alabama at which time and place they will be publicly
opened and read. Base bid work scope includes construction of a New High School
Complex on a partially prepared site. Area of enclosed buildings included in
Base Bid is approximately 436,000square feet. Base Bid includes a 3-Story
Academic Building, an Activities Wing housing 2Gymnasiums, Cafeteria, Band and
Choral Practice Areas, R.O.T.C. Facilities, Agri-Business, Welding and Auto
Mechanics Shops. A Varsity Football Field House is included in Base Bid.
Majority of structures are structural steel framed with non-load bearing
masonry curtain walls. Roof structures to be steel trusses and bar joists at
one-story wings with long spans and lightweight steel trusses at sloped roof at
Academic Wing. Field House and Shop Buildings
to be framed with Pre-Engineered Metal Building Systems. Roofing systems
include asphalt shingles, PVC roofing, modified bituminous roofing and standing
seam metal roofing. Exterior wall systems at upper portion of high-bay
structures tube insulated core metal wall panels with structural cold formed
metal framing back-up. Base Bid work scope includes site work and site
utilities, landscape work and related irrigation systems, sports fields, water
source heat pump HVAC systems, DX heat pumps at certain buildings, plumbing
systems, fire protection sprinkler system with fire pump and complete
electrical/auxiliary systems. Four Alternates require additional work scopes
follows: Additive Alternate No.1: Add Tornado Shelters(harden walls, roofs and
all penetrations at certain Base Bid areas). Additive Alternate No.2: Add
construction of complete 8,000-seatFootball Stadium with related ticket booths,
toilets, concessions and press facilities. Spectator seating to be partially
poured on grade concrete bleachers with aluminum seats and partially (majority)
prefabricated aluminum bleachers. Football field to be grass with subsurface
drains and irrigation systems. Additive Alternate No. 3: Add 1800-seat
Auditorium complete with stage equipment, lighting and sound systems and fixed seating.
Acoustical treatment required. Additive Alternate No. 4: Add Baseball,
Softball, Tennis and Track Fields, Lighting and related Control
Building,
Drives, Parking Areas, Site work and Utilities. A cashier's check or bid bond
payable to Enterprise City Board of Education in an amount knotless than five
(5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must
accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of
insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the
Contract. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the office of The
Superintendent, 220 Hutchison, Enterprise,
Alabama; Office of the Architect;
and F. W. Dodge, AL AGC IPR, and Reed Construction Data. Bid Documents may be
obtained from the Architect upon deposit of$800.00 per set, which will be
refunded in full on the first 2 sets issued teach general contractor bidder
submitting a bonfire bid, upon return of documents in good condition within ten
days of bid date. Other sets for general contractors, handsets for
subcontractors and dealers, may be obtained with the same deposit, which will
be refunded as above, less cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and

WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and
equipment, and constructing the Steele Bayou, Item 66-B Channel Relocation,
Phase I, located at Yazoo National Wildlife Refuge in Washington County,
Mississippi. Principal features of the work include mobilization and
demobilization, clearing and grubbing, excavating approximately 1.1 miles of
new channel, raising (in two one foot lifts) 3.6 linear miles of existing
earthen dikes and levees, 3.2 miles of new earthen dike, establishment of new
turf, erosion control, storm water pollution prevention and environmental
protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000 and

HURRICANE KATRINA SIGN REPLACEMENT FOR FEDERAL AID ROADS SURFACE
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM PROJECT NO. ER-0030-00(028) LPA /104912-701000 Sealed
bids will be received by the City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi until 10:00
a.m., local time, on July 31, 2008, for the Hurricane Katrina Sign Replacement
for Federal Aid Roads, Surface Transportation Program Project No.
ER-0030-00(028)LPA/104912/701000. The contract time is 75 consecutive calendar
days. Plans, contract documents and special provisions and proposal forms are
on file for public inspection in the office of the City of Bay St. Louis, 688
Highway 90, Bay St Louis, MS 39520 and in the office of Neel-Schaffer, Inc.,
Post Office Box 1487, Hattiesburg, MS 39403-1487 (704 Hardy Street, Telephone

Minimum wage rates for Federal-Aid projects have been predetermined by the
Secretary of Labor and are subject to Public Law 87-581 Work Hours Act of 1962,
as set forth in the Special Provisions. Minimum wage rates for all other
projects have been predetermined and set forth in advertised specifications.
The City of Bay St. Louis hereby notifies all bidders that it will
affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this
advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity
to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated
against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for
an award. The 2004 Edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road
and Bridge Construction, adopted by the Mississippi Department of
Transportation, as referred to herein, may be purchased from the Mississippi
Department of Transportation. Each bidder must deposit with his proposal a bid
bond or certified cheek in an amount equal to five percent of his bid, payable
to the City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi as bid security. The successful
bidder will be required to furnish a contract bond in the amount of 100 percent
of the contract amount. Both bonds shall be signed or countersigned by a
Mississippi Resident Agent. The bidder must agree to commence work on or before
a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner
and to fully complete the project within 75 consecutive calendar days. The
bidder must also agree to pay as liquidated damages the sum specified in the
Standard Specifications per day for each calendar day after the 75 consecutive
calendar days that work is not completed. Bidders are hereby notified that
award will not be made to any bidder submitting a proposal involving omissions
or irregularities outlined in Section 102 of the 2004 Edition of the Standard
