This project generally consists of architectural repairs and structural reinforcing of existing CMU walls, reinforced concrete columns, and plaster finishes; repair of existing metal roof framing; installation of new suspended ceiling systems or new finished drywall and cement fiber ceilings with new lighting valances and pony-wall systems inclusive of framing, supports and trims; new insulation at underside of roofing, resetting or existing and installation of new plumbing fixtures; installation of new light fixtures and electrical equipment; reattachment of existing electrical apparatus and appurtenant electrical work; existing and new supply and exhaust fan work including appurtenant ventilation system appurtenances; repair of metal roofing; glazing; cabinet and carpentry work; new flooring; ceramic tile repair and replacement; painting of the building’s interior and exterior surfaces; and all other work required in accordance with the plans and specifications as a result of the Kiholo Bay earthquake of October 15, 2006 which has an estimated cost of $900,000.00. This solicitation is issued pursuant to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 Test Programs For Certain Commercial Items. The Coast Guard intends to award a fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation. Work shall commence within 10 calendar days after contractor receives authorization to proceed and complete work no later than 90 calendar days after commencement of work. The Government shall award a contract resulting from this solicitation to a responsive, responsible offeror whose written offer is considered most advantageous to the Government, both in price and other factors considered.
