FACILITATING THE REBUILDING OF COMMUNITIES
In the wake of a natural disaster such as Hurricane Katrina, disaster recovery
contracts and related rebuilding programs may continue for years after the
initial disaster relief effort. Communities impacted by disasters like hurricanes
are issuing RFPs, bids, advanced notices and other opportunities for services
such as debris cleanup, flood remediation, hurricane rebuilding, and other vital
services. The 2009 hurricane season is forecasted to be above average in
activity, so disaster relief efforts will continue to be vital to communities across
the U.S.
